The series’ inaugural race proved to be an action packed affair as contact between Damon Strongman and Ben Grice at Turn 8 saw the introduction of the Safety Car on lap 5.

The second race developed into a much cleaner battle which saw the reigning national Formula Ford Series winner Cameron Hill scamper to victory from team mate Tim Brook as Brown secured the final place on the podium.

Leanne Tander was the top guest professional in 10th having powered from 20th on the grid.

The second round of the championship will take place at Sydney Motorsport Park on 26 - 28 August, 2016.
