2016 Australian Formula 4 and Toyota 86 Series champion, Will Brown has announced he will compete in the 2017 Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 HR - Australia's toughest endurance race -at Mount Panorama on February 3- 5.

Brown will slot into the #91 MARC Cars Australia entry car with double outright 12 Hour winner Rod Salmon and Keith Kassulke.

The MARC Cars Australia effort lists four reigning national champions from various disciplines for its fleet of six machines confirmed for the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.

Australian Formula Ford champion Leanne Tander will share the #94 entry with Tim Leahey, Nick Rowe and Gerard McLeod.

The Australian Production Car champ Beric Lynton is part of the #54 crew that includes British Touring Car Championship driver Jeff Smith and Heritage Touring Car winner and Production Car front-runner Tony Alford.

Australian GT Trophy MARC Cars class winner Jake Camilleri will be in the #93 with young Jack Smith and fellow Queenslander Rob Thompson.

The #92 entry will see third generation charger Aaron Seton combine with Michael Benton and Hadrian Morall while Geoff Taunton, Jason Busk and Dunlop Series runner Bryce Fullwood complete the roster in the #95 car.

MARC Cars Australia’s Ryan McLeod said the depth of driving talent through the six-strong fleet of machines is quite strong.

“We have six cars and the spread of drivers is such that any one of them should be a contender for the class win,” McLeod said.

“Our regular drivers, guys like Keith Kassulke, Mick Benton, Jake Camilleri and Tony Alford, have really embraced what we’re trying to do and have helped us put together a sensational team.

“It’s going to be a great race within a race that I’m sure a lot of people are going to be watching.”

With six cars and 19 drivers to manage, McLeod says the team is ready for the logistical challenge involved in piecing together their Bathurst 12 hour program.

“We are fortunate because as a team we have got quite good at running multiple cars,” he said.

“It’s a well-oiled machine now and we’re confident we go into the race in great shape and with six cars that have the same chance of performing on the day.”

The news of its Invitational Class line-up comes after MARC GT confirmed Chaz Mostert, Morgan Haber and Max Twigg in the team’s entry in the outright class in a BMW M6 GT3.

The 2017 Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Endurance event will begin on Friday 3rd February with the race itself beginning at 5.45am on Sunday 5th February.

TV coverage of the event will be broadcast live and nationally within Australia on the 7 Mate network.
