Cars Galore driver Will Brown has capped off a remarkable year by taking victory and winning the inaugural Australian Toyota 86 Series championship after the final round of the streets of Sydney today.

In doing so, still at just 18 years of age, he becomes 1 of only 5 drivers in Australian racing history to achieve 2 national circuit racing titles in the one year.

Cars Galore driver Will Brown has edged ever closer to claiming the inaugural2016 Australian Toyota 86 Series Championship, after taking pole position in qualifying and then the win in Race 1 at Sydney's Homebush circuit.

Brown held his nerve on the demanding and intimidating street circuit to cross the line first, ahead of Cameron Hill, Trent Grubel and the current 2016 Bathurst 1000 V8 Supercar winning driver, Jonathon Webb, in a 32 car field.

In what is already a remarkable year, 18 year old Cars Galore driver Will Brown can now claim to be a Bathurst champion.

Brown has taken victory in both Toyota 86 Series races today, held as a support event to the V8 Supercars 1000.

"It's an amazing track, it's like a big roller coaster and to win here is a real achievement and honour for the whole team. I cant thank my team and partners enough".

CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Championship leader Will Brown has returned to the winners’ circle after clinching victory in Race Two at Queensland Raceway.

The Cars Galore Team BRM pilot lead the field from pole position to lead home a Team BRM 1-2-3, with Jordan Love and Harry Hayek directly behind.

“Got the start so I was able to manage first and take the win, which is great points for the championship,” Brown said.

In 2016, Cars Galore driver Will Brown will be competing in the newly announced Toyota 86 Series.The series will run for three years. Up to 5 selected professional drivers nominated by Toyota will mentor and compete against a potential field of 27 amateur drivers who will qualify to get onto the starting grid. The nominated drivers will not be eligible for prize money.
